Cynthia Kaye works in the 48,000-square-foot Lawrenceville corporate headquarters of Logical Choice Technologies – a big change from the home basement where she founded her education technology company in 1994 with a folding card table and her preschooler playing on the floor around her.
Since then, Logical Choice has become the largest full-service partner of Promethean in the U.S. The company, which produces interactive-teaching whiteboard systems for schools and government agencies, reached $100 million in sales this year.
“It was quite a journey from my basement to where we are today,” said Kaye. “But having a vision of what our company could become, and having employees that were focused and passionate on making the vision become a reality [were the biggest drivers of success]. The excitement was the opportunity to start a technology company that would make a difference in education.”
